Blidworth Area - Proposed 7.5 tonnes environmental weight limit
Farnsfield Parish Council
Nottinghamshire County Council is proposing to introduce a 7.5 tonne environmental weight limit to replace the existing 18 tonne weight limit in the Blidworth area, to reduce the impact of large vehicles in the area. The weight limit is intended to stop heavy goods vehicles from driving through Blidworth, Rainworth and Ravenshead but would still allow HGVs who need access within the villages.
Further to the Stage 1 consultation in February, the next stage of the consultation is to publicly advertise the above scheme. The notice will be published in the Nottingham Post and Mansfield and Ashfield Chad and notices will be fixed on site.
Vehicles (the laden or unladen weight of which exceeds 7.5 tonnes) will be prohibited from proceeding in any of the following roads or lengths of road:-
