Tour of Britain 2022

Farnsfield Parish Council Tour of Britain 2022

The Tour of Britain cycle race will pass through Nottinghamshire for the third time on Thursday 8th September , in what will be the biggest free-to-attend sporting event the county has ever seen.  Route timetable can be seen HERE

The race takes in 190km (approx. 118 miles) of the county’s roads starting in West Bridgford and finishing in Mansfield on the same day.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for residents within Farnsfield and the surrounding areas to see some of the world’s top cyclists!

In order to showcase our village we would like as many of you as possible to get involved by bringing  your own shakers, bells, whistles and let’s make plenty of noise! Why not also dress your fences, gardens and windows with bunting and decorations to show the riders our support and the TV cameras just how much community spirit our great village has.

We re also running a competition to see who can create the best "yellow bike". A prize will be given to the winner(s). A limited number of bikes used previously can be obtained by contacting [email protected]
